BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist
“I have always had an an interest in food and cooking and when I was diagnosed with ‘IBS’ in my 20s my interest in food to took me to look at food as medicine. After improving my own condition through dietary changes I went on to get my BSc (Honours) in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Westminster. I have 10 years experience as Registered Nutritional Therapy practitioner, and have seen first-hand how diet and lifestyle changes can make such a positive difference to our health and wellbeing. I am also on the BBC’s panel of nutritionists and have appeared on numerous radio shows.
Now more than ever it is clear that one size does not fit all when it comes to our health, so it’s important to understand your individual balance. The body is amazingly complex and no one part of it works alone, so I aim to bring together my knowledge of nutrition, supplements and functional testing with a detailed understanding of how food works with the body to improve your health. I work using the Functional Medicine model and keep up to date with current research in health and nutrition. I aim to concentrate primarily on diet but I also have a very extensive knowledge of nutritional products and supplements to help support my patients.”
“I discovered a passion for health and fitness after struggling with niggles and injuries when running. This encouraged me to qualify as a Certified Chi Running Instructor. I also went on to qualify as a Personal Trainer, Master Kettlebell Coach, Specialist Exercise Coach (Management of Lower Back Pain).
In 2014 I was appointed Master Instructor and Director of Chi Running UK & Ireland, responsible for the management of ChiRunning across this region. Looking to develop my skill-set further, in 2016 I trained as an Oxygen Advantage Instructor with Patrick McKeown.
I became the first UK Oxygen Advantage Certified Instructor, teaching a programme of breathing exercises that help address every-day breathing pattern disorders alongside improving sports performance.
In 2018 I completed the Buteyko Breathing Practitioner certification, again with Patrick McKeown.
I work with clients on a 1:1 basis and also hold regular workshops in London, across the UK and Europe. I also train new instructors in the ChiRunning and Oxygen Advantage methods.”
